Ben pasted the CME pool 12 Sep 2026 asking how it compares to [[pairex-token]] and whether the "commodities are not backed" attack lands.

## Identity
- **CME `0xe2324FF2a59F8eCBa8c321c6466e59121C00e795`**, Robinhood Chain, launched **08 Sep 2026 01:14 UTC**. Site commodites.market (note the misspelled domain), X @launchonCME (5,543 followers)
- **Same Pons V2 rails as PAIREX**: factory `0x7ed598bcef8bd9edd8c97a195c6d13f40801ec7e`, curve `0xa0a603821aee32b40f9ac4ed0dfd631fba431b5f`, same 3,248-byte template. Deployer `0xb365f2602efa59b876b6dac1cc5c040a67f95c82`, a plain EOA with **nonce 12,687** (an operator wallet, almost certainly the keeper too)
- **FOUR impostor CME tokens on chain.** `0xB54BF2c07540162801C255b590d6B07bAf2B41f6` is the dangerous one: $2,563,043 of liquidity and **$5.08 of 24h volume**, the textbook RH fake-liquidity impersonator. Also `0xBb1D28080D7D9AddB7C1D62cd5932E9ac5d07495` ($588k, copies the real description verbatim) and `0xc1a0FDF651111F0c7604e7718eB0c0230BF8d947`
- Contract powers: **no mint, no pause, no blacklist, no setFee, no owner.** Clean

## Market, 12 Sep 2026 ~10:20 UTC
- mcap **$4,057,438**, 30 pools, agg liquidity **$491,658**, v24 **$8,150,343** = 16.6x turnover, h24 15,004 buys / 12,441 sells
- **ATH $0.01939437 on 11 Sep 07:00 UTC, about a $19M cap. Now $0.00397774, -79.5% off, but +34.7% off a 24h low printed one hour before the screen, and +17.3% on the hour.** A violent flush that is bouncing, not a slow bleed

## The platform (their own dashboard, and one number of it is chain-verified)
- **686 markets, 94 commodities, 11 graduated, 376 distinct creators**, $14.5M "value locked", $2.6M 24h platform volume
- Biggest community markets: **MILKERS $81,616**, ELJEFE $53,537, FART $31,895, BITCORN $31,617, WEN $26,340
- Launch at a $5,000 cap, bonding curve to $35,000, real Uniswap v4 pool from block one, up to five commodity coins per market
- **FEE SPLIT, and this is the decisive difference from PAIREX: 40% of every fee to holders of the meme/commodity pair, paid in the commodity coin every fifteen minutes, weighted by balance · 30% buys back and burns $CME · 30% protocol · NO CREATOR SHARE**
- Claimed: $85K paid to holders lifetime, $17.9K in 24h, 4,000 wallets; 16.579 ETH (~$42K) spent on buybacks
- **CHAIN-VERIFIED: totalSupply is 994,730,669, so 5,269,331 CME (0.527%) has been burned to the ZERO address, a real supply reduction. That matches their dashboard's "Burned 5.27M" exactly**, which raises confidence in the rest of the dashboard. Note PAIREX burns to `0x...dead` instead, so its totalSupply never moves
- **Deployer holds only 210,625 CME = 0.021% of supply.** No creator allocation, consistent with "no creator share"
- Shipping fast: in four days they added NFT pairing, CS2 skins, OSRS gold, Pokémon cards, 497,000 TCG markets, a Lamborghini market, Axiom integration and "V6 pools"

## THE BACKING AUDIT, which is what Ben asked
- **The oracle prices are REAL. Measured against live spot the same minute: Gold $4,408.90 vs $4,349.70 = +1.36% · Silver $65.188 vs $64.622 = +0.88% · Platinum $1,797.60 vs $1,802.00 = -0.24% · Palladium $1,323.90 vs $1,320.00 = +0.30%.** Four metals all inside 1.4%. So "the prices are made up" is FALSE
- **THE RESERVES DO NOT EXIST, AND THEIR OWN SITE SAYS SO. Every one of the 686 market objects in the page payload carries `solvencyBps: null` and `oracleStatus: "live"`.** They built a solvency field and left it empty on every market. That is the cleanest possible answer to the question
- The token's own on-chain description is honest: "29 commodity coins **priced to spot by the CME keeper**". It claims price tracking, not custody. The marketing line "Markets paired with real commodities" is the loose part
- **Of 74 denominations visible, only about 25 are genuinely exchange-traded** (GLD, SLV, XPT, XPD, HG copper, ALI aluminium, ZW wheat, ZC corn, ZS soybeans, ZM meal, ZO oats, ZR rice, CT cotton, SB sugar, CC cocoa, KC coffee, OJ, LBR lumber, LE/GF cattle, HE hogs, NG, RB gasoline, HO heating oil, CL crude basket, H2O California water). **The rest are illegal drugs (COKE, CRACK, HEROIN, METH, FENT, MOLLY, ACID, KET, SHROOMS, WEED, XAN, OXY), fast food (BIGMAC, WHOPPER, MCNUGS, TACO, BURRITO, LATTE, FRIES, DBLDBL, CFA, POPEYES, BACONATOR, DUNKIN, PIZZA), CS2 skins (DLORE, HOWL, KARAMBIT, VULCAN, VICE, GLOCKFADE, AWPASIIMOV, BUTTERFLY), Pokémon cards (MOONBREON, ZARDBASE, ZARD151, PIKASIR, MEWSIR, ETB151), OSRS gold, and LAMBO at $357,621 per car**
- **Verdict on the attack: the critics are right that nothing is backed and wrong that the prices are fake. "Real-world asset" is rhetorical here, because nobody is delivering a Big Mac or a gram of cocaine. But the identical criticism applies to PAIREX's fx tokens, which are also unbacked keeper-pegged synthetics. Anyone attacking CME for this while holding PAIREX is being inconsistent**
- Named bears: @aglioglioliolio (1,328f) "just another $CMDFY / $HARVESTFI clone... no public on-chain pairs or physical reserves for a lot of the listed commodities, just a basic contract querying an off-chain API"; @ibestashok "$CME makes a real-world-asset claim that doesn't exist"; @initrobot (997f) sarcastic on the same point; @SojuSippin "who cares if it's not actually backed, it's funny asf"
- Chinese-language tape reports **dev-rug rumours three separate times**, each reversed, and blames the 12 Sep flush on the latest one. @nafaydefi (11,304f) bought the dip at $3.8M calling the dev legit

**VERDICT given 12 Sep 2026: CME is the better BUSINESS, PAIREX is the better TRADE SHAPE.**
- CME wins on mechanism and it is not close: a contractual 30% buy-and-burn, a 40% holder payout that gives community coins a reason to be held, 18x the markets, 2.5x the biggest community coin, a dev holding 0.021%, and four days of visible shipping. PAIREX's only accrual is one person buying manually out of his own fee income, which can stop any evening.
- PAIREX wins on where it sits: 4.5 hours old, no ATH yet, already at 71% of CME's cap on similar volume, and the one-joke-per-currency land grab is finite and barely started. CME has already run to ~$19M and given back 79.5%.
- The legal asymmetry favours PAIREX: listing cocaine, crack, heroin, meth and fentanyl as "commodities" is a takedown risk that currency pairing does not carry.
- Falsifiers for CME: (1) the holder payouts stop clearing (2) the buy-and-burn rate falls with volume, since it is a share of fees and collapses exactly when needed (3) a fourth rug rumour that does not reverse (4) the drug markets draw a takedown. Upgrade: a community market clears $1M, which at $81,616 is still 12x away.
