- Checked 29 Aug 2026. Mast Bond, token MAST 0xcB5566E73BEe5390c75dF834d4727dCECC65fc87 on Robinhood Chain, launched 28 Aug 2026, about $1.4M mcap, $143k aggregate liquidity across 11 pools, +2,269% in 24h. Site mast.bond, operated by "Mast Bond S.r.l.", an Italian company. X account @mastbond joined August 2026, 379 followers
- THE AUDIT CLAIM IS FALSE AS STATED. Their journal article "Why we built Mast Bond on Robinhood Chain" says in writing: "We worked directly with the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) on technical support and an audit of the Mast Bond factory and the smart contracts deployed for the initial release. Michael Petricone, CTA's Senior Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs, served as our point of contact." It hyperlinks cta.tech and his CTA bio page, so they mean the real trade association that produces CES. CTA is an advocacy, research, standards and events body. It has no smart contract audit practice, appears on no list of audit firms, and Petricone is a government affairs lobbyist, not a security engineer
- Their own product page contradicts the article: the homepage disclosure reads "Unaudited MVP; value can fall"
- The article's "Verify the contracts" section, checked with eth_getCode on the chain RPC rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com (chainId 0x1237 = 4663), which is authoritative. Its "MAST token" link points to 0xcb556634195748de446f867eb51d51a268870383, which has ZERO bytes of code, nonce 0 and zero balance, on Robinhood Chain and also on Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum. It is an address that has never been used. Its "Portfolio Boost factory" link 0xf4158549f8511d70245a1d6ca0995e6733fe52d3 is a real contract, 7,962 bytes, owner 0x2d5d3be3f6d89a848096056cdb0f68ab64be8dca, 5 transactions, but Blockscout says "Contract not verified automatically"
- NONE of the three product contracts is source-verified, which is the sharpest finding given the article says the deployed contracts were audited and tells readers to verify them: the "MAST token" link has no code, the factory is unverified, and the live vault 0x9e0c21beaa4e078a7d72269825292ed870cbfe67 returns creation bytecode with no source_code, name or compiler. The only verified contract in the whole project is the traded token 0xcB5566E73BEe5390c75dF834d4727dCECC65fc87, which is a stock PonsV2LauncherToken, the same vanilla Pons launchpad ERC-20 as DTF, name "Mast Bond", symbol MAST, fixed 1B supply, containing no vault or portfolio logic
- IN THEIR FAVOUR, the product is real and not vapour. The vault 0x9e0c21beaa4e078a7d72269825292ed870cbfe67 is live: "Mast Bond Balanced", symbol mBAL, 14,811 bytes, 6,405.02 shares outstanding, and it actually holds tokenized assets (QQQ 1.7722, SGOV 12.6409, USDG 319.46 plus SPY and SLV legs). That is roughly $6.4k of real deposits against a $1.4M token market cap
- Blockscout trap worth remembering: an address contract tab showing "contracts/StubContract.sol · v0.8.7+commit.e28d00a7 · 96%" is a UI artifact, not proof of verification. It renders identically for DTF and for the unverified Mast Bond vault. Settle verification with the api/v2/smart-contracts endpoint (look for source_code and verified_at) or with eth_getCode, never the contract tab
- The @mpetricone account is almost certainly genuinely his, not a fresh impersonation: joined December 2007, 7,548 followers, and a coherent multi-year DC tech-policy timeline (data centres, AI federal preemption, IBEW unions). He quote-tweeted Mast Bond on 28 Aug 2026 at 22:23 UTC with "A great example of a blockchain projects that is actually good", and in replies said "We were hired by their team to carry out dd on their contracts" and "This is part of what we do, and our organization has long standing ties to the founders". Both statements misdescribe what CTA does
- Hack versus paid promo, unresolved: against a hack, he kept posting normal on-brand policy content AFTER the Mast Bond post and argued in the replies for 12+ hours. For a hack or at least something wrong, he refused the one trivial proof repeatedly requested (post it on LinkedIn), and instead asked the crowd "how can hackers bypass the 2FA app?". No CTA statement, denial or LinkedIn confirmation exists publicly as of 29 Aug 2026
- Standing lesson: when a token's credibility rests on a named institution's endorsement, resolve it by checking whether that institution actually performs that service and whether the contracts it supposedly audited exist at the published addresses. Both checks failed here in under ten minutes

## RE-SCREEN 31 Aug 2026 (day 3), full three-frame analysis
- Cap $1,887,344 on the main v4 ETH pool 0xb1366b0e846956a4b39ec73009f7d0d39372fda85799122e09c029af98fee7b4. Aggregate liquidity $185,001 across 8 pairs, main pool $126,067. Vol 24h aggregate $1,061,110. Holders 2,200 (Blockscout), up from ~1,908 the same morning per @rickytheirish
- ATH $0.00292344 on 29 Aug 2026 23:00 UTC = $2.92M cap. Now -32.9% off ATH and bouncing (+17% to +23% on the 6h). Inside Ben's reaccumulation band, NOT late
- VAULT TVL PRICED: $11,488 total. SPY 6.7178 x $769.24 = $5,168 · SGOV 22.7582 x $101.30 = $2,305 · QQQ 3.19599 x $717.10 = $2,292 · SLV 19.0285 x $60.29 = $1,147 · USDG $576. mBAL shares outstanding 11,536.04, so NAV about $1.00. Up from $6.4k on 29 Aug. MC/TVL = 164x
- REVENUE IS $40 A YEAR. Site states a 0.35% annual vault fee. 0.35% of $11,488 = $40.21/yr. Mast Bond is not on DefiLlama at all. Its $1.06M of 24h volume is 0.076% of the chain's $1.40B
- CONTRACTS STILL UNVERIFIED 31 Aug, three days after the audit claim and after @rickytheirish publicly asked them to publish real audits: vault 0x9e0c21beaa4e078a7d72269825292ed870cbfe67 and factory 0xf4158549f8511d70245a1d6ca0995e6733fe52d3 both return verified_at null and no source_code. Only the traded ERC-20 is verified
- THEY HARDENED THE CLAIM RATHER THAN SOFTENING IT. The homepage disclosure that read "Unaudited MVP; value can fall" on 29 Aug now reads "Initial-release contracts audited by CTA; value can fall". Site also now publishes the operator as MAST S.r.l., P.IVA 11607890156
- PETRICONE IS NOT HACKED, SETTLED. @mpetricone posted "Nice" on @mastbond 31 Aug 03:02 UTC (38 likes, 2,269 views), three days after the original endorsement, alongside continuing normal policy content. The hack hypothesis is dead. What survives is worse in a quieter way: a real, senior, named person is repeating a description of CTA's work that CTA does not do
- GoPlus chain 4663 clean: buy_tax 0, sell_tax 0, is_honeypot 0, is_mintable 0, hidden_owner 0, is_open_source 1, creator_balance 0. Top holders: V2LaunchLocker 0x267444D099b10fB5Ed7c3Cc7B7c767AdcA574952 8.16%, Uniswap PoolManager 0x8366a39CC670B4001A1121B8F6A443A643e40951 3.80%, largest EOA 0x16D223256D0F36797D7F4507Cf66a6b86D63D0D6 3.61%. No dev concentration
- TIER-ONE COVERAGE IS ZERO. blknoiz06, theunipcs, pingucharts, CrashiusClay69, 0xkioto, _0xghost_, metaversejoji, dontbuytops all return nothing (the one blknoiz06 hit is a 2017 link). Real coverage is mid-tier: rickytheirish 22,275 followers running serial public deep dives, orenjixbt 20,758, crypt_stylo 9,361, 0xYelf 6,521, InspectorSlurp 938
- ACTIVE PHISHING CAMPAIGN. Dozens of sub-100-follower accounts posting "portal is live", "eligibility check", "holder check" with the CORRECT contract address and a link, 29 to 30 Aug. Textbook drainer. There is no official claim portal
- COMPS 31 Aug: DTF 0xeE5576Fa1Bcaa380e591D01245f406f3f384eb01 $6,217,064 (same category, decentralized ETFs, older, MAST baskets are passive vs DTF's active creation per @NL_ftw) · HOOD10 0x0D257cA40d40090BE60C2d2Ed5bB3535392838cc $6,426,273 · NET 0xca9c78dd337a67f6e0077f65f5e9218719d30edf $5,940,201 · QUOTRON 0x5a86828efd322bfb16d93cfed16ee9bc14940d7f $11,898,431 · Index 0x56910d4409f3a0c78c64dd8d0545ff0705389870 $29,463,634 (30d revenue $302,712, cap/rev 8.0x, genuinely backed) · STONKBROKER 0xe934e36a439c94017b64a3fece66af12099abf50 $56,831,165
- VERDICT DELIVERED: cheap against the live-product floor band ($1.7M to $6.4M), 164x against the fundamental anchor, narrative ceiling $10M to $30M = 5x to 16x. Small buy, $5k to $7k max on exit depth ($5k is about 4% to 5% impact split across pools, $15k is about 24% on the main pool alone). Falsifier: any CTA statement, or the contracts still unverified in seven days
- CATEGORY PLACEMENT: this is "infrastructure the holder must operate" (+29% median on this chain), NOT a payout token (+1,925%). Portfolio Boost staking nudges it toward payout but still requires a deposit plus an action

## FLOAT-VERSUS-FLOW RUBRIC PASS, 31 Aug 2026 14:20 UTC. **49/100, GATE 2 FIRES. Tier: Probe only.**
- live: price $0.002495, **MC = FDV = $2,495,574** (1,000,000,000 fixed supply confirmed on chain, 0 burned). Age 83h. Aggregate liquidity $215,268 across 8 pairs, main Uniswap v4 ETH pool $144,946 with a **29.5752 ETH quote side (~$72k)**. Vol24 $1,019,553. **Now only -14.6% off the $0.00292344 ATH**, versus -32.9% at this morning's screen, i.e. it has re-rallied 24% into the same ceiling
- **TVL HAS STALLED. mBAL shares 11,552.10 versus 11,536.04 yesterday morning: +16 shares in ~27 hours.** The deposit growth that carried the 29-to-31 Aug story has stopped. Team's own AMA number 30 Aug: "approximately 20,140 USDG, around 10,000 in the four core vaults and the rest in custom vaults". So MC/TVL is 124x on their number, 217x on measured mBAL
- **THE TOKEN'S ONLY JOB, IN THE TEAM'S OWN WORDS (AMA, 30 Aug): "MAST is not a portfolio share and does not represent the assets or NAV." "Today, MAST's defined role is Portfolio Boost."** Stake portfolio shares, optionally add MAST, boost reward weight up to 2x. **MAST is OPTIONAL in its own only use case.** The reward pool is fee-funded at 0.35% of ~$20,140 = **$70/yr**. Effective routing yield = $70 / $2,495,574 = **0.0028%**, against HYPE's 5.1%
- GATE 1 does NOT fire, and this is the token's one real strength: 1B fixed, **100% float, MC == FDV**, and a direct selector scan of the 3,248-byte runtime finds NO mint, pause, owner, transferOwnership, blacklist, setFee, setMaxWallet or upgradeTo. Emission ratio 0x. Same RH-native inversion Ben documented in [[price-driver-model]]
- **GATE 2 FIRES: no nameable marginal buyer.** A $70/yr optional reward pool is not a bid
- SCORE: SUPPLY 26/40 (A1 16/18, A2 8/12, **A3 2/10** — the whole float is up ~2,400% from launch and the token is 3.5 days old). DEMAND 6/35 (**B1 0/15**, **B2 0/12**, B3 6/8 — RH-only, no CEX, no bridge, genuinely closed). RERATING 16/25 (C1 8/10 at $2.50M, C2 6/8 at the bottom of the $1.7M-$6.4M band, C3 2/7 — slot contested by DTF, HOOD10, NET, QUOTRON and INDEX, and INDEX at $29.5M with $302,712 of 30d revenue is the backed occupant). Modifiers +1 reflexivity, 0 post-delivery (vault shipped, but indexes/Bearings/DAO/dashboard all announced-not-shipped)
- SUPPLY MOVEMENT: V2LaunchLocker `0x267444D099b10fB5Ed7c3Cc7B7c767AdcA574952` received 81,632,653 MAST (8.16%) on 28 Aug and has moved NOTHING since; no readable unlockTime(), so the unlock date is unknown. Largest EOA `0x16D223256D0F36797D7F4507Cf66a6b86D63D0D6` took in 40,101,392 on 28 Aug and **sent out 4,000,000 on 29 Aug**, holding 36,101,392 (3.61%)
- **BEN'S THREE STATED REASONS, AUDITED 31 Aug:**
  1. "Official stamp of approval from a US organization" — the CTA audit claim is still **FALSE AS STATED** and they **re-asserted it in the 30 Aug AMA** ("the Mast Bond factory and the smart contracts deployed for the initial launch were audited by the Consumer Technology Association"). Site disclosure was hardened from "Unaudited MVP" to "Initial-release contracts audited by CTA". Meanwhile the vault and factory are still not source-verified
  2. "He knows the founders" — Petricone's own words are "our organization has long standing ties to the founders". That makes the endorsement **not independent**. It is the opposite of a security guarantee
  3. "They hired people for marketing and product design" — the product-design name is **@Midaskwant (Midas Kwant)**, and he is real: account from Dec 2010, blue-verified, 3,223 followers, Stanford '19, confirmed Lead Designer at Mirage by @trymirage's own Feb 2026 post. **But: he is not named anywhere on mast.bond (full page text fetched and searched), he has never posted about MAST, and when @trenchmaxi asked him directly "What is ur role in the project?" on 29 Aug he did not answer.** @silverennial's defence is that the team only "solicited market input" from him, which is a much weaker claim than a hire
- **All three reasons are on Ben's own anti-signal list** in [[price-driver-model]]: partnerships and endorsements score zero, and "VC quality / who backs it" scores zero because the investor is the seller
- NEW SINCE THE MORNING SCREEN: 31 Aug 02:58 UTC the team published the "open index economy" design — Mast Synthetic Indexes (mMSI), 1,111 Mast Bearings NFTs with no team mint, a Mast DAO, and a 75/25 community/protocol treasury fee split. Roadmap promised "tomorrow". All of it is design, none of it is shipped
- WHAT WOULD MOVE THE SCORE: real TVL growth (the deposit stall is the live falsifier), a published third-party audit by an actual audit firm, source-verification of the vault and factory, or MAST becoming required rather than optional in its own product

## OUTCOME 2 Sep 2026: the falsifier fired. Mcap $768,690, -69% from the 31 Aug rubric pass ($2,495,574) and -74% off ATH. Aggregate liquidity $93,874, vol24 $735,710, X attention 0.28 CA-mentions/hr with max follower touched 1,190 (dead). TVL stall was the live falsifier and it played out within 48 hours. Ranked worst of five in the 2 Sep DELTA/TWO/PAIR/BOW/MAST comparison: collapsing price, $70/yr routed, token optional in its own product, hardened-not-corrected false audit claim.
