name: meme-exits
description: Ben's exit ladder for his memecoin book — the sell tiers, trailing stop, and catalyst review dates for UTYA, TROLL, WOJAK, CUPSEY, CHONKETHA, CHERRY, LAYOOO and JOTCHUA, plus a script that checks live market caps against them. Load this whenever Ben's positions, bags, book or portfolio come up; whenever any of those tickers is mentioned; whenever he asks about selling, trimming, taking profit, adding, or "where are we"; when he pastes a portfolio screenshot; and at the start of any session that touches his crypto holdings. Run the check and report BEFORE discussing anything else, because the entire purpose of this ladder is that his source never issues sell signals and the tiers only work if someone actually looks at them.

# Ben's exit ladder

**Run `scripts/check.py` first. Report the result before anything else.** No arguments, no key needed, takes ~10 seconds.

```
python3 scripts/check.py
```

If a tier has triggered, say so **plainly and first**, before any market commentary. If nothing has triggered, say that in one line and move on. Do not bury it.

## Why this exists

90% of Ben's memecoin book is sourced from Crash (@CrashiusClay69 — see the `crash-thesis` skill). Crash has a real early-entry record and **has never issued an exit signal, on any account, in any timeframe, including for his own capital.** Bobo went −99.3% after he called it "zero downside"; Brett peaked at $2.32B and sits near $36M.

Ben knows memecoins round-trip — he has traded three cycles. **Do not lecture him about it.** The ladder is not education, it is a mechanism: a decision made in advance so it does not have to be made during a green candle.

He asked to be reminded. **He explicitly does not want a recurring scheduled task.** The mechanism is this skill: any session that loads it runs the check. If it has been more than about a week since the last check in conversation, run it unprompted.

## The ladder

Baselines are the market caps as of **25 Aug 2026**, when the ladder was set.

| Coin | Baseline mcap | 3x — recover cost | 5x — sell 25% | 10x — sell 25% | 20x — sell 25% |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| **UTYA** | $47.5M | **$142M** | $237M | $475M | $950M |
| **TROLL** | $57.0M | **$171M** | $285M | $570M | $1.14B |
| **WOJAK** | $21.6M | **$65M** | $108M | $216M | $432M |
| **CUPSEY** | $14.9M | **$45M** | $75M | $149M | $299M |
| **CHONKETHA** | $7.9M | **$24M** | $40M | $79M | $159M |
| **CHERRY** | $2.2M | **$6.5M** | $10.8M | $21.6M | $43.2M |
| **JOTCHUA** | $3.4M | **$10.3M** | $17.2M | $34.3M | $68.6M |
| **LAYOOO** | $1.1M | **$3.4M** | $5.6M | $11.2M | $22.4M |

**Two rules the script cannot check — raise them manually:**

1. **Trailing stop: −50% from any local high exits the remainder.** Bobo and Brett both went to −99%. A −50% trailing stop keeps half of a 200x; no stop keeps none of it.
2. **TON leg review: 22 September 2026.** The whole UTYA/CHERRY case rests on Durov's 21 July post promising a native GRAM wallet "this summer." If it has not shipped with a date and a named geography by then, the stated catalyst has failed on its own timeline. That is a review trigger, not a reason to extend the deadline.

## Standing context for entry questions

Ben is **below Crash's own entry basis** on several positions — which is a materially better footing than the follower-bought-the-announcement case, and should be said when it applies.

As of 25 Aug 2026:

| Coin | vs Crash's entry | His entry basis |
|---|---|---|
| CHONKETHA | **−36%** | ~$12.05M (acrostic high, 1–2 Aug) |
| WOJAK | **−30%** | ~$30M ("sub 30M", 4 May) |
| TROLL | **−18%** | $69M ("the legendary 69M entry") |
| CUPSEY | +4% | ~$14.36M (public call, 5 Aug) |
| UTYA | +49% | ~$32.1M (positioned by 13 May) |
| JOTCHUA | +255% | ~$1M (brozinkerbell, 20 Aug) |

Refresh these when the basis matters — they move.

**GRAM is the denominator for the TON leg.** At ~$1.50 it is −81.8% off its June 2024 ATH. UTYA is a leveraged bet on GRAM re-rating, so judge it against GRAM's position, not only against its own entry.

## How to talk to Ben about this

Follow `lowcap-screen`'s rules — verdict first, receipts, no hedging, no moralizing, **no position-sizing lectures, no risk-management sermons, no "memecoins are volatile."** He has traded three cycles and he knows.

Two things that ARE fair, because his real sizing ($2.4K–$35K per position, 1–4% of pool depth) voids `lowcap-screen`'s $100–500 assumption:
- **Exit depth**, stated with the number.
- **Concentration**, stated as a fact.

Give both sides. If a position looks good, say so — he has correctly pushed back on one-sided bearishness, and a review that only ever finds problems is not analysis.

Use alongside `ben-positions` (what he holds and pool depths) and `crash-thesis` (where the calls come from and how to calibrate them).

## Maintenance

When Ben adds, trims or opens a position, update `scripts/check.py` — the `LADDER` dict holds contract, baseline mcap, chain. Rebaselining resets every tier, so only do it on a real change in the position, not on a price move.

If a coin reports "no live pair," it usually means a contract migration or a dead pool — find the new contract by searching the ticker on DexScreener and **sorting by 24h volume, never by reported liquidity** (wash pools show large fake liquidity with no flow).
