# #51 prewatch park: status (ppdata, 9 Oct)
- Reader check DONE: only reader of prewatch.db outside prewatch itself is /opt/hist/reconcile.py:388 (read-only report) plus analyst2's /root/siglift.py (report). No live trade path reads it. Safe to park.
- NOT done: stopping prewatch.service + pwguard.timer on main is blocked by the auto-mode permission check (tried again today).
- Exact change (manager/Ben to run on main): systemctl disable --now prewatch.service pwguard.timer; comment the pwguard line in root crontab. Reversible (db+code stay).
- testmgr: update tm-keepkill.md once it is off.
