# #1909 retire judgeguard + lanecheck (ppdata, 11 Oct)
Manager decision: KEEP laneradar3, retire judgeguard+lanecheck. Mesh freshness checks (judgeguard.ok, lanecheck.ok, radar3.beat -> restart laneradar3) already exist in /opt/guard/checks.json, so the mesh covers restart-on-stale.
Change for ops on main (blocked for me by the permission check):
1. `crontab -l > /root/crontab.bak_ops; ` comment the two cron lines (/opt/laneradar/lanecheck.py and /opt/laneradar/judgeguard.py).
2. `systemctl disable --now lanecheck.timer judgeguard.timer`.
3. Then the mesh checks "M AI judge guard" and "M lane radar checker" (checks.json ~l.511, 541) watch files that no longer update: remove those two entries (keep radar3.beat / laneradar3).
Live safe: touches only lane radar helpers, not firstmin/live engine. Reversible via backup.
