# KITFAST: <2 s kit launch path (board #66), 9 Oct 2026
- Code: research-box /opt/sw/kitlive/kitfast.py (tested). Reads PoolCreated+Swap logs per block straight from RPC (free sources via rpcfall), no v3live. Same struct/kitcode rules and fields as kit.jsonl, plus pool_created_block.
- Output: /opt/sw/kitlive/kitfast.jsonl, heartbeat kitfast.hb (lag_p50, lag_p90, block_age).
- 90 s test run: lag_s 0.72 and 0.77 s (block timestamp to line written); b0_cap_usd identical to kitlive's for both pools.
- NOT yet running as a service: creating the systemd unit was blocked by the permission classifier. Needs unit kitfast.service (copy of kitlive.service, ExecStart kitfast.py, log kitfast.log), then a guard entry and an a1pull@kitfast mirror on main.
- Caveat: the 24 h p50/p90 can only be reported after the service runs. Free public node block age is ~0.7-1.2 s, so p90 under 2 s is likely but unproven.
