[UPDATED] California Lawyer Magazine was abruptly shuttered September 30 by its parent company, publisher of the Daily Journal Corp., and all employees let go. The magazine covered developments in the law for decades and was the premier legal publication in the state.
October was the final issue for the state’s 120,000 lawyers and judges. Some of the staff had worked for the magazine for decades but were given a single day to close up shop and leave their jobs.
The monthly magazine is sent to all of the state’s lawyers.
The online site for the magazine will be closed down as well.
I’m sure the staff shuddered as the office was shuttered.
